Have you seen a discussion topic that made your head spin, You exclaim WHAT?

I was just sitting here wondering if anyone ever saw a topic that made your head spin around and you have to yell what the HECK? I saw a topic a little while ago that really amazed me, I went in to read and was astounded at the nonsense. I know we are all intelligent enough here on mylot to be able to use a computer right? I mean we are using the internet after all. So my question is why don't more people at least try and google a response instead of answering with something that is so far off base that it is comical. This is not really a rant... okay maybe half a rant, LMAO but I just have to ask if there is anyone that has thought this themselves.

That happens to me pretty often actually. When wandering around on mylot, I'll see things that just astound me with their stupidity, pointlessness, or weirdness. And yet, many of the discussions that make me think that have plenty of responses. So does that mean I'm the weird one for not getting it? I vote for half a rant... I only raised one eyebrow, that's why.

LOL No I don't hardly believe your the weird one. I am beginning to believe however you are one of those rare folks Like Trans, that is blessed with the ability to interject a cut down, but you do it in such a sly way, that the people never understand they are being made fun of. Me I go in full steam ahead open my mouth and step right into a pigsty. LMAO

You would think in my 40 years that I would have learned some kind of control. But I still blurt out the first thing that pops into my brain. Thats not always a bad thing, it has served me well on occasion.

Sure, I've seen a few. A couple of weeks ago there was the whole, "I hope you like getting beaten" series, and then you have the ones that you nerly need babelfish to translate for you. I just skim and pass, skim and pass.

On mylot? Not yet thank goodness...but I'm sure with more time here I will!LOL! I think it's hilarious when people post that way, sometimes I wonder if they have even read what the discussion is about...I have found this on other forums, but thankfully not here yet. What was it that made your head "spin"?

I totally know you mean and I'm not nearly as forgiving as Trans. I tend to jump right in and let the fur fly so to speak. There are however far too many moronic posts, by moronic people that it's a waste of time to contribute anything to it. After all they are either too set in their in their ways to listen to reason, or too stupid to see the facts. I really think someone needs to dump some chlorine into the gene pool.

Yes I know my dear Knight, I have seen your fur flying ablities first hand. I have to admit I am sadistic and get quite a bit of entertainment at your expense :)) I often wonder like Lecanis that I am the one not thinking right. Maybe I am not the one thinking the way *normal* people think. But I pretty much let that thought go in and out of my brain cause I know I am right and *they* are wrong!

Angelwhispers: It's nothing really. I must admit that I get a certain perverse joy from knocking stupid and pompous people down a peg or two. Most of my professional life I am face to face with the public and have to hold my tongue for the good of everyone involved. When I was young I was very small physically (and I still am) so I've dealt with lots of bullies, and packs of them, it was so much simpler to just beat the hell out of them in a very public place, but alas those days are gone, and I am not a violent person to begin with. Transdisc: The strange thing I've noticed is that I tend to be far more protective of others than I am of myself. I will take a lot of abuse and rarely does it get to me. But if it is a freind or family member it's like someone made me a three-headed dragon at a Viking eating contest-- meaning that I get very busy. :) I understand why you don't get into those heated discussions and I mostly try to stay away from them myself, unless of course I'm just in "the mood" to respond or have to confuse someone with the facts. (I can't believe his reply either, it was "weak sauce.") Both: Y'know I tend to think that I don't think normal either compared to others, but then again what is normal? And I think all four of us (you three more than I) are more intelligent than your average bear, have strong opinions, and generally *don't* want to be told what to do, think or believe. Sadly, I think most people are sheep by choice...and if I need to play the role of the wolf, than so be it. It's chow time.

Most of the discussion topics do make my head spin, that why I am only a 3. I love to irritate and annoy and mylot is ripe for harvesting.

You know it. It may not be a specific topic but a response to a topic where I think, "did they even read the discussion?" I hate when people answer a discussion with something so far off topic you wonder what in the world went through their mind as they were typing. It is funny sometimes, you are reading good stuff and you get to some nonsense. I actually get confused sometimes and have to go back and read the topic of the discussion to make sure I am really getting what they are saying and I am not the one leaving a response of nonsense. lol.
