A Stone On A Concreted Road

I was leisurely walking at the side street when all of a sudden a speeding car passed me by. Then I felt a pebble flew to my face. Yes, that speeding car caused that pebble to have been thrown away from where it was located - at the middle of the road. Then I remembered that incident which happened in a nearby town sometime ago. A boy was badly hurt when a stone was caused to have been thrown away by a speeding truck. It hit the boy who was standing at the roadside waiting to get a ride. It was horrible. There was severe bleeding as he was hit in the head. Have you encountered some weird accidents on the road, too?

To be honest I try not to be that close to the road. There's always the chance of someone hatefully throwing something out the car window, etc. and it could hit you and I just won't take that chance.

that's what i do now after having the accident. i most of the time try to stay far from the main street. accidents mostly happen when we're out of our guards.

You have acquired a good strategy at staying away from accidents. I believe I must start to adopt it, too.

i haven't encountered such an accident about a flying pebble because of a vehicle in so much speed. and i feel sad about your experience and that boy's, too. i don't think my experience is weird but when i was in elementary, a tricycle ran over me and my mom. it was raining and we really got hurt. i woke up with a stitch on my forehead. and since then, i always try to be more cautious when on the streets.

These road accidents happen without warning always. It is the reason why accidents take place anyway, right? That pebble didn't hurt me. It was much too small to cause me any damage. It felt like somebody pinched me on the cheek. Caused some redness, that's all. But that accident you had, it really did you some harm. For you to have some stitches due to that, is no easy thing.

No, luckily I haven't had those sort of problems.

I should say that you are definitely in luck to be living in a place where people are extra careful whenever they are on the road.

Definitely a menacing thought. I haven't experienced anything first hand, but I've heard of similar freak accident type things. People getting killed by the most mundane things entirely without warning and with nothing but awful luck on their side. Kind of makes you want to never leave the safety of your room... unless of course your monitor suddenly explodes... Uh oh.

Yes, it is true that when we leave our homes, we are subjecting ourselves to some degree of danger out there. But so far, I have never heard of a monitor exploding. I find it kind of funny thinking how will it be going to happen.
