I love castles and one of my favourites is Castle Coch, a castle built on a hillside just outside Cardiff, South Wales It was built in the late 19th century for the 3rd marquess of Bute on the remains of a medieval site. Its designed like a picturebook version of a typical fairytale castle and has been used as a location in several films because of its unique look and location. Do you know of a similar castle?

I love castles too, it is about the only thing I would be interested in if I went over seas, I love the whole history of them...they are just so big and beautiful...

Wales is full of castles, Chepstow, Cardiff, Caerphilly. I was lucky in that I was born In Wales, near to all these castles and visited them a lot as a child There is lots of information about these places on http://www.cadw.wales.gov.uk

Once my youngest daughter, who is 5 now, is secure enough to be away from home for more than a couple of days, my husband and I plan to take a European Castle tour as our second honeymoon. I don't know of any in particular that I want to see, except one in Scotland that was used in the filming of "Highlander." I would also like to see Vlad's castle in Romania, but that might have to be a second trip. I will definately keep Castl Coch in mind when planning our itinerary.

I like the castles of europe very much. I think they are very sublime and mysterious. Do you know the forbidden city? This is a special castles in china. It was builded several hundreds years ago, and it had centuries-old history. Long ago some chinese emperors lived in there.
