I have a 10 year old daughter and i plan to put her in a new school, but i am afraid of her being new will be too stressful for her. Any advise?

A new situation is usually stressful, whether it is a new school, moving to a new home, or an adult starting a new job. But stress is part of life and we need to deal with it! If she learns to handle stress early in life then she will be much better off as she grows up! All you can really do is be there if she needs to talk about her feelings, and be supportive of her. She will adapt to her new school in time, once she begins making new friends. Don't push her to make new friends but encourage her to invite some of the kids over after school.

it is very stressful to be in a new place since you don't have friends around or familiar people around. A kid normally gets along easily with other kids their age, just reassure your child that things are fine and you have chosen this new school for her because you know she'll be happy there just like here old school. Good Luck
