father,mother,which one do you love best?

I don't know how to answer that. My relationship with both of my parents wasn't a very healthy one and I don't necessarily tell them much about my life now, for fear of criticism. I respect them both because they gave me life, I do love them, I think I love them both equally but differently. I know that is confusing but it is the only way I can explain it. Both of my parents are very narcissistic and I believe that they are not capable of finding happiness. Things make them happy, but for the most part, they will never be truly happy. No matter what or who is in my life, what I do with my life, how I raise my daughter and so on, I am criticized and put down for my choices, and nothing is ever good enough so I don't usually let them know anything other than I am happy and all is well anymore.

I can easily choose and that would be my mother. I don't know who my real father is, but I do know that he physically abused her. my step-father is a good man and i do call him father, but sometimes it seems that all I do to make him proud of me could be easily disintegrated in one mistake. my mother has been there for me through all of my good times and bad times and she continues to be there. i dispise my father, and though i love my step-father, my mother has stood by my side throughout all. i can easily pick her.

I love my mum more. I don't have anything to do with my dad anymore as he is not a good person. My mum has always been there for me and she has been such a wonderful mum.

I was never particularly close to either of my parents (though not in a bitter sort of way). I don't love one any more or less than the other. However, I can say I do relate to my dad much more probably because his life growing up more closely resembled mine... His personality type is also closer to mine too. But as far as which one I love better, I love them both the same.

It's hard to say because i have a disfunctional relationship with both parents but i guess i will have to say my father because he isnt as self absorbed so when i really need to talk he will listen to me. He is also alot more appreciative of things, where as my mother will not be happy with anything unless its exactly whats she wants.

I will not choose one over the other. I love my parents - I love them both. I love them each for the person thay are. They have different qualities as human beeings, and they mean a lot to me.
