Baby ! Thats is the most used named that we call our partner but hell i guess we would have to change it if we got another one huh lol. Because we have a natural state of mind to take care of the people we love..so we call them baby without thinking about it because we take care of them and love them.It's supposed to be cute. But, to me, there is nothing better to be called than to hear your own name said by the one you love.I think it stems to that we like to cuddle them and take care of them as you would a real baby.I think we started this because of movies or songs .. but basically its a term of endearment. A sign of you are mine, you belong to me. I've often thought it odd also. But I'm guilty for using the term. LOL.Other names used: Honey; Love Muffin; Snuggles; Babycakes; Sweetheart; Babe; Love; plus a million other sweet names based on something that someone said or did once and we coined the personal term based on that event
