i have a 9 year old that is 60 pounds. she eats like a bird. i am always trying to get her to eat more but she is never hungry. i have taken her to the doctor and they said they go through stages liek this. i told him that she has been this way since she was like 3 and it drives me nuts. she eats good foods hardly anything but. she is very healthy it is just she is really thin and i worry about her. she doesnt care about her wieght or anything so it is not anything like that. she jsut doesnt eat. my oldest eats everything though. she is skinny too but she eats at least. any ideas how to get a 9 year old to eat more? she only eats like a peice of fruit for breakfast, 1/2 a sandwhich at lunch and dinner is like 3 bites of meat, and a few bites of veggies. if we go to fast food she gets a kid meal and eats about half of it.

You could just keep offering what you are having and maybe just add more fruits and Vegetables with some dip, I would ask your doctor about vitamins though because if she is not eating a whole lot she may not be getting everything she needs. This is a tough time I know I have gone through some of the same thing, but I just keep in the open for them and soon you will see they will go to it. I wish you and your Family the best Stacy

my daughter used to be like that...now she is eating a bit more, but i heard it said that kids eat in stages. when they are growing they eat more, when they are not, they do not... i would talk to your dr about it, just to be on the safe side...but it is normal (my daughter just turned 10 and still wears size 8 - so she is small) but lately her appetite has been growing...she will prolly go through a growth spurt some time soon... just get her fav foods and dont worry

I know many kids that are eating food supplements from www.gnld.com - they are made of fruits, berries and vegetables, nothing synthetic, and the oils come from wheat, rice and soya. These supplements can be mixed into the food - about 1/3 inch pressed from the capsule, mixed in mashed potatoes, yogurt or something like that. If she can swallow capsules, the fish oil from the same company is real quality and she could take at least one a day. Can also be given with a spoon when pressed out from the capsule. It gives substantial food for her brain which is important. She could get extra nourishment from GR2, which was created for weight loss but works well as extra food. It has all 22 amino acids that the body needs + vitamins, minerals and oils, and maybe she could take it as a drink with milk or mixed in yogurt as a dessert. These supplements are good for the whole family, so if you choose to buy them directly from the company, which is cheaper, just contact me and I can explain how you can do it. These supplements are made of whole food, so they are risk free and have also helped me and lots of others to get more energy and health and even income.

A little more information. You probably find cheaper vitamines and other supplements in the stores but there is a risk that they are synthetic or made of something that does not belong to the human food. Could be betacaroten made of wood or vitamine E made of earth oil - the same source where we get petrol for our cars, and for gnld it is important that they use real food, real fruits, berries and vegetables, cultivated ecologically, food that people have eaten for thousands of years and that is safe to take in. There must be some information meetings near the place where you live. Maybe I could check if I can find some in the back office on my gnld page. At least 95% of us are not getting enoug nutrition form the ordinary food, so this is also a great way to help your friends and relatives to get healthier.
