Salmon Leaping Upriver

Salmons in American have to swim upriver to spawn. However, it is extremely difficult for them to get there. They have to squeeze and leap upriver consistently. However, during this process, some salmons unfortunately leap onto the shore where they have no water and nutrition to survive, others maybe squeezed even to death in the sea. Only 20% of salmons can successfully reach the right place to lay eggs at last. These salmons’ life will also confront to death when they complete their last commitments. I think this maybe the circle for salmons, for life. It suddenly dawns on me that we, the common students, are just like those salmons. After a series of competitions, only some of us can achieve successes, while most people have to live an ordinary life. “We should work hard for ourselves, for parents and for our country.” Though this is a grand saying, we should at least regard it as a goal to move on.
