I've always believed that dental hygiene should begin when the child is still very young so that they would not have the phobia of visiting the dentist later in life. What can you say about this?

I started bringing my kids at the age of 7. When their two front teeth have already sprung. I believe that no matter what age you bring your child to the dentist, it is still the experience that he/she had that will make it traumatic for him/her,even if he's a grown up.There are pediatric dentists who are specializing on kids, they know how to handle them. If the dentist needs to give the child an injection ,or a simple teeth cleaning if it's painful this is were the trauma will come in. It's just proper handling of the dentist and explaining what will be done.
