I found $5 dollars! Really!

Here's the story. I went to the grocery store early this evening and I figured I would buy a lotto ticket as the machine was still open AND I had a few dollar bills on me. When I inserted my dollar in the lotto machine I looked at the credit amount and it said 6 dollars! With no one near the machine to claim it was theirs, I bought myself a 6 dollar quick pick and went shopping, still expecting someone to stop me at any moment and mention something about the $5 that was in the machine. No one ever did, and I left the store. Funny thing is, this is the second time that this has happened to me. Has anyone here ever found money this way, and if so what did you do about it?

Wow wow, lucky you. I don't recall a similar experience myself. And guess what.. I am thinking that the ticket you bought with this "lucky money" might win you another bigger something. ^^

I found money one time one the floor when I was shopping but it was only a dollar. That sounds great though to find money like this.

I found a 100 dollar bill in the parking lot one time and i looked around and there was no one else in site so I put it in my pocket and kept it! That was so awesome to find I used it to buy groceries that day. It really helped out. But someone had a major loss

In my experience, it is not really $5 dollars but I got something for free. I went to a vending machine and got some chocolate bars and a drink. After inserting the coins for my chocolate bar, it didn't went thru so I sort of gave the machine a "shake." Out came 3 chocolate bars. I was like...what happened? Then I went to the soda machine...did the same thing, and I got 2 drinks. I called a classmate of mine in school and asked for an opinion. She told me that earlier in the day, the machines were getting crazy and had eaten the money and wouldn't give anything out. I was like, the machine is working now but it is giving me more than what I pay. So, what I did is give the extra item to my classmate so more or less my conscience will not bother me. That was such a lucky day and it doesn't happen everyday because in most cases, those vending machine always eat your money and never give you anything...lol.

I've never had anything like this happen to me but my youngest son found a ten dollar bill a couple years ago. It was laying on the ground next to the sidewalk in front of our house. I made him put it up for a few days in case someone was looking for it but no one ever said anything so I let him spend it. I think he spent most of it on junk, pop, candy, and such.
