why are so many husbands right now killing their wives?

Its sad but true. Down here in south tx where I live i hear about it in the news constantly. Alot of times they take their own life soon after. I can't imagine what would drive a person to do that to someone else. Its sad how much I hear about it here, makes you wonder if there will ever be an end to it. It could possibly be that since women have so much more rights and freedom now than ever before they feel that they can't control them. Such as if the woman chooses to leave him, and he can't keep her from doing that. Back then women would just take the abuse or anything bad that was given to them, now women know that they don't need a man.
