Doesn't seem like every time a celebrity does something stupid that they blame it on drugs,alcohol,mental illness...They go to rehab and like magic we forgive them when in reality they might just be nasty spirited or bigot or biased...Why can the average joe not get away with something outrageous by claiming the need for rehab?

Oh yes they all the time when these celebrities do something wrong they like to blame it on one of these things it is ridiculous. and you are right they may just be like this. Yes that is right if it was you or me they would blame us completely not put the blame on any of this. I think that they claim this so they can be put in rehab to have a rest.

Because who would know anything about the average Joe. They dont have any publicity and the only people who would care and forgive him are family and friends.

I think half the time they are so out of it they have no idea what they are doing , others think they are so famous that they can get away with anything , the so called stars forget it was their public that made them famous , I wouldn't like to be famous , I like to put out my washing with my housecoat on and go out without makeup and still feel good , I would just like to be who I am with just a wee bit of their money though lol xx

I think it's a case of them trying to play on the public's sympathy. In some cases, I'm sure they legitimately had a problem, but when one after another does it, it gets ridiculous. I was kind of relieved that Don Imus didn't blame what he said on some sort of addiction or problem. He said he'd made a mistake and owned up to it.
