The Christian, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism major religion in the world contain similar symbol or the word and their uses are also similar. The symbol is called Oom or Amen. The sound of the symbol is also very similar in different religion and are used similarly. What do you think about this. Does this mean, the base of every religion is the same? What other symbols, or the sounds, or the rituals do you find or know similar between different religions of the world?

yes of course. you can read the texts of the different religions. they all mention about the similar sound or the symbol. Hinduism is the oldest religion in the world. It contains Oom, similarly, buddhism also contain oom, christian contain amen and similarly, major religions in the world contain similar sound or symbol.

At first I thank you for this topic. You mentioned different names of religions of the world which have the same types of words like oom or aamen etc, which sounds alike. Not only the religions you have noted but also ohter religions of the world have something very common in them if you consider them from depth. The common chantings or some common way of prayer simply signifies that all the religions are basically pointing to the one and only "GOD" or the Universial Being. Religions are directing man in different ways to reach the ONE GOAL of human life, that is, God. Because HE is everywhere. The differences that we see among religions are very superficial, and only people who have no thought of thier own, quarrels with the petty differences and in the name of religion they do the most irrelegious work. If you go to the root of your own religion you will know in your own that religion is asking man to reach the depth of their mind, where every secrets are hidden.

you are right. when we go to the root of the religion, we find the same thing. the symbol is similar because they are the symbols to the same ONE GOD.

Ya, you are right. All religion are more or less similar. You have missed one more religion in the list, THAP. It has also similar symbol. Prof. pawan has revealed the fact in his last article "SYMBOLS AND RELIGIONS". It's a great topic. I was fascinated by its ideas and views. I wonder why it isn't so popular!

I think the basis of all religion are the same. Oom is the basic sign of every religion. Over time, the sound got shifted when it reached europe, africa and america. otherwise it is the basic sign.

You are wrong to equate these, Amen means "So be it" so the meaning is different nor do I consider the sound to be similar. I think you comparison is faulty all the best urban
