Which is a gud processor - Intel duo core or Intel Duo 2 core?

I m planning to buy a new computer system. The last thing, where I've strucked is processor only. So pls tell me the best out of the 2. Pls also mention the processing speed & cost of both the processors.

At the moment the intel duo core 2 is very popular because its relatively cheap and has good performance. What i reccomend you do is to read reviews and compare prices between the two at sites like:
Overclockers UK
Toms Hardware
Compare prices and see which fits your specific needs. Also remember that no matter how good the processor the entire computer needs to be equally as good for you to get the full performance from it.
I would reccomend the Intel Duo 2 Core.
