What are the plus, minus and exclamations points for in responses?

These + and - symbols are for rating the responses.The ! symbol is for reporting thediscussion or the response as abuse.The ratings help in deciding the reputation of a member which in turn decides the star rating of a member.The star rating is the number seen over the star.The reputation can be seen by placing the mouse over the star and is in the form of 93/100,etc.The star rating and the reputation are given to member once he/she posts 100 discussions/responses.The ratings are important as they according to most of the members decide the payout rate for a member.The + symbol is for rating the response as of good quality and as per the topic of the discussion.The - symbol is for rating the response as of bad quality and not as per the topic of the discussion.The ! symbol is for reporting the response/discussion as abuse which means that the response/discussion voilates the myLot guidelines .The mylot guidelines can be seen at the following link- http://www.mylot.com/o/topguidelines.aspx
