what do you mean by an "educated person"

When a person is educated, he/she applies what he learned in school. This does not always relate to book learning, but also relates to life learning as well. Schools would be expected to expose every student to all the important aspects of learning, would put the students in an environment where they could interact with others, be aware of individual differences, and learn how to deal with life. With this, I would say that a person is said to be educated if he/she knows how to deal with others in a way that would be courtesy-driven, in a manner that is proper, and at the same time be able to apply the skills developed in school.
