what are the good & bad sides of the new Windows Vista?

Many are pissed off with the new operating system, but there are some who enjoy it. I want to hear from you. But I'd say Windows Vista Ultimate is really nice (in terms of design & security features).

If you like the vista design - why don't you go look at Mac OS X 10.4. This is where Vista got it's design from. Oh, by the way - 10.4 is soon to be retired and replaced with the new Apple OS.
Apple is on the leading edge of design and security. Vista is bringing up the rear.

If you compare mac with windows operating system there are alot of defference that you will speciall with the looks and user friendly features im not saying that im against with mac its just that, mac will sooths those who has the enough or excess buget when it comes to technology as well as consinder some of its feature that using application for will not actually allows you use certain feature for other operating system...

Well, I like Windows Vista for the most part, but I hate when I go to download new software, most websites aren't compatible yet with Vista.

Yah right, simply because there are feature or software that are acctually upgraded in windows vista that donloading some software that are running with the later version of windows might not work for it. That, when it comes to graphics and visual features of windpws vista it is exceptional compare to other operating system. But windows xp has also those features that you can actually download with the some feature that you can find with using windows vista and is more stable compare to vista alone...

Hey Kath,
A really good question.
I for one have been waiting for MS to release this OS for the Graphics and the security features available on it.
I would side the people who have a compatibility issue with a lot of software. There is something that we have to note here. MS has taken 5 years to design this OS and will the software we use be made compaatible for this in a days time. Hell No!!!!!!!! We need to wait for a while before we have all the softwares Vista compatible.
And when it comes to any other OS especially MAc. I wouldn't say its bad but would neither say that it is good.
Compare the prices of Vista and the MAC OS. Huge difference. And Mac OS is not so user friendly. Yes, the security is real good and few graphics are better. But what better if you get all these at a lower price. And in a month or 2 MS is going to release the 1st Service Pack for Vista and then you have a lot of better stuff. so wait on and you will get more.
