I'm currently running a Windows OS and i use the program Cubase (SX), I'm getting a Mac Book pretty soon for college, and i was wondering if anyone had some more experience with both programs and if it's really worth getting all new equipment (I'd most likely get the Presonus Firepod) and software

I've heard a lot of ProTools, I've heard that it is the best audio sequencer around. However, it is as expensive as hell, I think you should keep using Cubase, it works with Midi better and you will never have to need Protools.

cubase is way better than pro tools http://www.digitalmusicdoctor.com at this site you can compare DAW`s and i prefer Cubase because Steinberg is the company that created ASIO, MIDI, VST tecnologies and this tecnologies are used by all DAW`s
