Are mylot users allowed to post news articles here?

They read a news article and then open a discussion to debate any part of the article they find interesting. When doing that one should always post the link to the full article so that anyone can read that, if they want to, before posting a response.

In the guidelines you are requested not to post an article. You are asked to enter the link to the article. There is something called, 'fair use' though. This is what the US Copyright department has to say: "1. the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes; 2. the nature of the copyrighted work 3. amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole 4.the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work." That's just as clear as mud, isn't it? I think the main idea is you can use a small portion of the whole to illustrate your points. I wuldn't just worry about Mylot, copyright infringement can cause you trouble if you infringe the wrong thing from the wrong perosn!

i think it is allowed to post new articles but make sure that you did not commit any of the mylot rules and regulations.
