RV Parking in San Francisco / Bay Area

Hi There,
No doubt you've heard the expression "My eyes were bigger than my stomach" well I had a "My eyes were bigger than my brain" when I bought a 40ft RV two days ago.
Where to park outside of recognised campgrounds is my question without getting moved on by the police?
