healthy eating? chore or pleasure?

Im stuck in the middle on this one, i think the benefits that go hand in hand with healthy eating are very nice, such as nice hair, nails and skin and also the added energy! Plus i do think that some healthy food tastes fantastic and so refreshing, ie a nice mixed fruit salad, or a prawn cocktail! But on the other side of the spectrum, who doesnt love a chinese takeaway or a pizza washed down with a can of lager! mmmm! Does anyone have a preference to either, or is anyone completely against either one?

If I had things my way, my entire family would be vegetarian. Veggies are cheaper than meats, and typically Vegans live longer than meat eaters. As far as my preference. I love eating healthy. I don't like the way that I feel physically after eating pizza. For me, unhealthy food is just a convenience that I have allowed myself in the past when I was too busy to cook. And, it's the number one reason that I put on so much weight during my pregnancy. I'm on a permanant diet now, so I'm trying to do more home cooking. I think it's making a difference. I love to eat all the fruits and healthy veggies available. Eating healthy is a lifestyle choice. You have to embrace it fully to get all the benefits. Not saying that once in a while I won't indulge in something that is considered a diet no-no. But, it's not often. I know that I'm only adding to the weight problem and making it harder for myself to take off the weight eventually. So, yes, I'd say that the benefits of eating healthy (more energy, beautiful skin, etc.) far outweigh the temporary pleasures of a cheesy slice of pizza! A moment on the lips...a lifetime on the hips!

I can do both, eat unhealthy and healthy, but I usually prefer to eat healthy because I feel better afterwards and it makes me feel good that I'm eating healthy and treating my body right!

I think the benefits in the way you feel in the long term on a healthy diet far outway the quick enjoyment you get from and unhealthy fix. If you are looking for recipes for a healthy diet you can find some on my website: http://www.recipesforvegans.co.uk
