I live out in the country and for many years, dial up was the only option I had. However, a company came into our area that serves the rural community. I was thrilled. The name of the company is Pixius. I have high speed broadband, via a satellite dish. The signal comes from a tower about 1/8th of a mile from us. The dish points to the tower, and wow we have service! I love it and would never go back to dial up. Hugs!

You are quite welcome! I know Pixius isn't offered everywhere yet, but they are growing quickly. I've been with them for a year and half. They just increased the price, after all these months. I received a postcard from them telling me that my cost was going to increase this month. However it didn't say how much the price was going up. I just saw how much, and was pleasantly surprised. The old price was 39.95 and the cost went up 2 bucks to 41.95. I can live with that. Hugs.

Well I have used a few different ones over the years. I started using free ones and then went to paid. I've used netzero, aol, msn and roadrunner. Out of them my favorite is roadrunner. It's a cable internet so I have great speeds and I'm always connected to the internet. I hated aol and it's browser. It was very slow in my opinion as well. MSN was fairly decent and if I had to go back to dial up it would probably be them. Netzero I had when it wa free and it was slow. I don't know how it is with it now paid. Still if I have my choice I won't ever have to change.
