You can also exchange it on other websites,there is plenty available where you can trade your e-gold with someone whois living in your city, you'll have to transfer e-gold into his/her account and get cash simple but its really difficult to find someone whois willing to exchange it for cash so a better way i have read in some other forum is to get to the nearest western union and exchange your e-gold for a little fees.
