Do you keep your bedroom door locked when you sleep?

bedroom door---locked or not? - keeping your bedroom door locked when you sleep?

OK. I suppose nobody wants to be disturbed when he sleeps inside his bedroom... That's why door locks are invented. I myself usually keep my bedroom door locked every time I wanted to get some good sleep. I hate it when people make disgusting sounds of the door, opening or closing it. However, I know a couple of people who rather have their bedroom doors just close but never locked so somebody who they requested to wake them up can just go inside, shake them up 'till they're awaken. :P it still makes sense though. But in my case, I just asked my mom in case I can't wake up by the alarm clock, to just knock on the door or get the spare key to open it. At least by then I know that it's the only time somebody's gonna open the door. How about you? Do you usually keep you bedroom doors locked ? or you just leave it close yet unlocked? Why so? Do share your thoughts.. :)

I prefer to keep mine locked. I felt safer by locking the door. You never know, somebody might break into the house and if your bedroom is not locked, that they will have easy access to harm you or take your belongings. This happened to my friend once. He nevel lock his door because he had his small daughters sleeping in other rooms. Sometimes when she wakes up at night she'll move into their room. But one night my friend wake up in surprise because some robbers have broke into their house and put a long blade on his neck. That was a scarry moment. They let him go unharm though, but his wife was shocked and stress for a couple of days.

Right now me and my son are sleeping up in the front room until we get the downstairs bedroom done.So I technicallly do not have no door to close or lock.LOL.When my husband returns from being deployed we will fix on are room some more to get it finished.I wouldnt lock my door though sice I have kids.I would like to lock the bathroom but when we moved in the door knobs on all the doors either jiggle and need fixed or the closets do not have a door knob. When we moved in to rent this place it needed alot of fixing up before I would move in.i know the landlord should have fixed it up but we told her we would not pay rent when we had to get things for the house. So she deducts what we get from the house.I know I told my husband if I had it over I wouldnt have moved in or even fixed it up.I would like to really fix are bathroom door knob and put a lock on it .So the kids do not keep pushing it open. Not that you get any privacy when you have little kids.LOL.

I always keep mine loked.. i don't know. It could be a force of habit. actully in our house almost all people keep our doors locked. I'm actully facinated in american soap operas and tv series because if they found that a bedroom door is locked like in Desperate houswives. They always act in astonishent why the door ws locked. well isn't suppose to be?Ü

I only lived with my hubby, so we never lock the bedroom door when we sleep. Also when I stayed with my parents, I never lock my door. But when I'm living alone before marriage, I always lock my door... it's dangerous let my bedroom door not lock if we are alone.

I usually have my door closed when I am in my room. I will only lock it when I don't want to be disturbed. However, I do not lock my door when sleeping... what if something happens and I need to be woken up? :P Interesting question. ^^

I only keepmy bedroom door locked when I go out of the room or go to sleep. I used to live in a boarding house and I lock the doors to keep thieves from entering my room.

I usually don't lock my bedroom door when i go to bed. Just in case there's emergency like fire or something like that (cross my fingers that nothing like that ever happen so at least i can escape myself instantly, however, if there's any robbers get into the house my room will be the first they will check into since it is not locked. I only locked my bedroom door when i am sleeping with someone special..hehe you know what i mean and that's the time when i want the whole privacy to myself with the other party, surely do not like to be disturbed by others and for that reason i will lock my door. cheers!

Yes, as always. Even if I’m not sleeping I keep it double locked. Hehe.. I don’t know it’s a habit of mine locking doorknobs all the time. Well although I live in a two-gated building but I still locked doors. Well never know, right..?

I would never be able to sleep with the bedroom door locked . For starters I would panic that one of my children would need me and wouldn't be able to get in and for another , I woke up one night as a child and our house was on fire and because of this , I have a fear of being in any room that someone would not be able to get into if a fire were to start . I don't even allow my children to lock their door and this is the reason as you never know when you will have to get in , in a hurry and trying to find a key or have to break down the door would waste precious seconds . It is a fear I have , and chances of ever waking up to a fire again are slim but I still can't get over the fear I have :)

I do not even have a lock on my bedroom door. At night I do not even close the door, there is only me and my husband and our 7 cats, they have to be able to come in and out or they would be scratching at the door, This would keep me awake!!!

during night time, i see to it that my door is locked. it has been my habit locking the door simply because i do not want thieves take all the things i have inside my room. our place is quite not safe.

I will lock the door. That makes me fill a kind of safety.Another reason is that I don't want to be disturbed,I can't get to sleep in a place where is not silent enough.
