What's the turnaround time from submitting an article to published on the site?

I became a member last Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Associated Content and immediately submitted four articles. I received an email from administration stating it will take up to five days to investigate if the articles have been published elsewhere or if I meet the site's requirements, yada, yada, yada. It's now been a full week (7 days), and I've still yet to either hear from administration why my articles aren't on the site, or see them published on the site. Can anybody tell me, does it take longer to get articles published for new members, is administration just slow, or what's the deal? Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

It's taken them between 6 and 14 days to respond when I've submitted articles. They are good about paying, even though the amounts are low. One of mine was paid for even before it was published. They have a whole slew of new writers signing up, and it might be hard to keep up with so many. One warning: if you've subscribed to any other writers, which we all hope you do, sometimes you'll get e-mail from AC and think it's about your article but it's about someone else's. You do get used to it, though.

I'll keep the email heads up and subscribing to particular authors in mind, and thanks for the information.

It says "2 weeks" whenever I usually post, unless it is in the "news" category and needs to be up to date. There really isn't any set time or order for that matter that I have seen with my works, some things are passed over for a long time while others are sold...odd, but still fun.

I submitting an atricle on April 5th and just got an offer for it today. More than the initial five days but less than two weeks.
