why is india in a big poverty now?

i watch a movie now, its hurt to see people in thier poverty,,i never been onto india but as i see this movie,a lot of people supper there,

india right now faces a very big problem called poverty.but let's get a little deeper,to its cause.the cause of poverty is over-population.when the population is less,everything becomes right.remove population poverty is removed automatically.

It all depends upon the government..and the attitude of hte general public..ppl have to stop looking at the short term gains and look at the long trerm gains..then only india will prosper..
