Changing your avatar...can it be done?

I'm interested in uploading a photo from my files as my avatar, instead of the generic green guy I chose when I signed up. Is there a way to do this? I can't seem to figure it out. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, in advance.

Yes it can be done. Just go to "edit your preferences" and you can upload a picture there!

I understand your frustration but I think the one that could solve your problem is the response coming from asylum (answer no. 4). Just change the file type to .jpeg as you save it in any photo editor and you're problem will be solved. I learned the hard way, too!
