Being a Mother

I love being a mother. It makes me feel important and you will never know love until you have children. At least not love like that. I have 4 kids. 3 teenagers and a brand new baby girl. I have no idea where I would be in life without them. Nor would I want to be there. Anyone else with me on this?

I think it's extremely biased to state that one "will never know love" unless they have children. I love my fiance, I love my cats, I love my art. I'm fairly certain I'm well aware of love, devotion and adoration. It seems insulting and descriminatory to say that infertile and childfree women can never know real love. It's one thing to say that your children bring you joy, but it's a completely different thing to say that children are the only thing that can bring true happiness.

you dont get it when you have kids its a different kind of love, i love my bf but i love him in a different way then my kids. its a bond you cant brake i think its like ok i cant live with out my kids if something ever happened to them i would die from a broken heart i cant replace them but if something happened to my bf or evena husband i would be heart broken but we get over that stuff a parent never gets over the loss of a child. its just a different kind of love.

Maybe for you, but I wouldn't say that's a universal feeling. I don't think I could eve mourn a child more than my fiance, whether it was mine or not. I'm terribly frightened of loosing him. So much so that I am banning anything black from our wedding so as not to incur bad omens. I don't think I could ever feel that way about a child.

Nor would I want to be there........ that pretty much says it all. I have never enjoyed anything as much as I enjoy being a mommy. My life is pretty good, I've had wonderful experiences, done a whole lot of the things I've always wanted to do, etc, etc, but nothing holds a candle to the wonderful experiences I have had since my child has been born. ..... and LOVE. It is almost impossible to express in words the love I have for my child. Are your teenager all just crazy about the new baby girl?

Yes, I love too. I love being a mother too much. I have only one baby and I love him. It's so sweet to know your feelings about motherhood. I think motherhood is the most pleasant and blessed thing in a woman's life.

children are joy of motherhood. I dont see motherhood in having a pet. The love for pets are incomparable to a love of 'human life' inform of children. If anyhow choose not to have children under any reason, I sure know there are still other ways of drieving joy and showing love. However, the joy of real motherhood is incomparable and I cant waitto become one someday.

i love being a mom, i guess our kids is the best ever gift that we've received, no material things or even other love can replace the joy of motherhood.

Feb 1st, 2007 - lots of toys! - Sitting in amongst the MANY toys she has been spoilt with since birth!
She's such a little angel :)
I only have the 1 little girl & even though she hasn't been here long (only 10 months) i cant imagine her not being with me - although like you, i wouldn't want that to happen - she's my everything! So yep, definitely with you on this one:) I do get worried about whether i am doing the right things sometimes but i'm sure every mother does this at some stage, i just have to keep reminding myself that since i haven't done anything like this before, i'm going to make mistakes:) Here's to all the Mum's/Mom's on myLot!
