What a 50-year-old woman can do in her spare time?

It seems to be awkward for a 50-year-old woman to find some more things to do on line in her spare time. As a single professional woman in this age, going out to spend the spare time doesn't seem to be practical and not much fun. everyday after coming back home from work, what she can do to make good use of the spare time. That's a real question. Any suggestion or advice will be appreciated.

I think it is good to develop some hobbies that you like so much that you can't wait to get home to do them. I write, I paint and I do bonsai. I also read and get on the internet. In addition you could take some classes at your nearest college, university or adult school in the evenings. I am 65 and at one time had the same problem you had. I went back to school and took some classes in computers.

I really appreciate your reply. I also appricate your yound state of mind. It's kind of curiosity that I wonder whether you have the hobbies done all by yourself or will you have some friends with the same hobbies to share your joy and experiences together. I think it more joyful to share them with poeple. I'll think it over and see what I'm really interested in and what i can do with it. Thank you.

sWhat do you like to do?Do you enjoy flowers or herbs- perhaps some gardening? Is there any form of art or craft you admire? Perhaps you could learn how to do it? I'm 65 and don't have enough hours in the day. But then there are so many things I love doing. By myself. Perhaps you could say a bit more about what you mean by going out-? tell a bit more. Its an interesting question. It deserves a good answer. Please say some more.

Thank you very much for answering my question. By going out I mean just to walk around the street or do some shopping which actualy is not to my liking. I have been a professional woman in the past decades and I'm not interested in domestic work like gardening and I have not any other hobby or interest. So most of my spare time I spend in front of computer surfing, chatting or reading news etc. But recently I came to realize that all these years I benifit nothing from doing all these things. My friend suggested that I come to mylot to earn extra money instead, I thought it a good idea: if I can't think of any other good things to do, why not try to make some extra money. So I come. But more than one week passed, and I earned $0.60. I found it ridiculous to think of money when I hit my keyboard here.

Thanks for the BR and for explaining more of what you mean. there's gardening and then there's gardening (like getting involved with horiculture hobbyists and taking on the raising of a rare or difficult plant of beauty- like orchids. Its an expensive hobby but it attracts interesting people and it is fascinating in its own right. good luck with your search. Its a big and fascinating world. Look around and enjoy!
