Warned on Spamming

I have published some books and I have been saying that and there's no use if nobody would know the existence of such publications. Accordingly, 85% of marketing is advertisement. I have no money to spend for the advertisement of my books and so to advertise them, I joined some autosurf programs where my sites showing the books are rotated. I also patiently do some email marketing getting email addresses from websites especially libraries, Bible Schools, churches, etc. Yesterday, I discovered my sites as suspended and I was also warned by lulu.com where I publish the books for reports of spamming. I still don't understand much about spamming for I receive so many unwanted emails especially porns and I couldn't even find a means there to stop them from sending me as there are are no unsubscribe portion. I have no other alternative but just to delete them and they keep on coming everyday. I send emails about the books most of the time once only (I should be doing this second time) for libraries alone in the United States are more than 60,000 and each library have more than 10 personnel. And so I'm so hard up doing email marketing. And yet I'm reported to be spamming and I might be banned from publishing at lulu.com My books deal with the Holy Bible and I did not expect that many people do not appreciate to hear news about the Word of God. Perhaps, this is part of the persecution that Christians would suffer. I have no money to personally publish my books and I have not found any other website offering as what lulu offers and so if the persecutors would succeed (in the meantime) and my lulu account would be closed, the books would be out of view (temporarily). In fact, I am also suffering such persecution here in myLot as until now, I only have 6 stars when that should be 10 already. Anyway, I rely on God and I believe that all things work together into good for all those who love God... May God bless all of us.

Well, sometimes even those of us who choose to believe in God, and such have had many pitfalls. You need to remember especially when a lot of the World chooses not to believe in a Higher Power. And when you are trying to Sell books of this type Satan will do everything in his Power to block you. As for suggestions, when I send out Emails and such, most of the time, I do it via Yahoo groups as I belong to a lot of them and have a couple of things I promote, so I find this the Best way besides Safelists or FFAs. Also when I send out an Email to anyone, I also have learned to have a disclaimer in all of them to protect myself. Such as if you wish to be Removed from my list, send me an Email at. This I have heard protects me anytime anyone tries to Scream SPAM. These are some Tips I have learned and I hope something here I have posted can help you or others in the future.

Could you please tell me something about safelists? What are they? What good are they? How do you get one? Do you have one and has it been helpful? Thanks

Sorry to hear about your marketing dilemma. Do not get discouraged - with the internet there are always more ways to tell people about your books. In addition to what you have already done, you might also try blogging. Create a blog about you, your books and what you are hoping to communicated. Then look for other blogs that are in some way related. You maybe be able to exchange links with other bloggers and get some more exposure that way. a couple of suggestions for blogging sites: to create your own individual blog try www.blogger.com This will require some setup on your part. Another blog you might try is a community blog site known as: http://blogevolve.com/referral/626c6fbd and yes, that is my referral link. People on this site try to keep it family friendly. Another community blog site is: www.blogfeast.net All of these blogsites are free. If you go to www.freewebs.com, you can create a website. I see that you already know about shoutlife. Maybe that and some other forums would be helpful. Finally, if you make a blog or website, you might try a 'traffic exchange'. You may or may not like that. Basically you earn credits by surfing other sites, and then others visit your site in return. As you said, God is in control. Hope this is all working out in a way that builds your faith. djbtol
