Philippine air, Philippine food, the culture and tradition. Although, we cannot deny that poverty is in us still we miss the ambiance of the philippines especially when we work abroad. Although we're living on the squatters, still when we arrive in the Philippines miss our kamag-anak, kababayan, and kapamilya and still missed our place called home. Nothing pays our home the Philippines.

There are plenty of excellent places to visit here in the Philippines; but the farthest I have been is within Luzon area only; it's getting quite expensive for an oridinary employee like me to get to far provinces/regions. Although what's good is, only an hour or two drive form Manila, you get to see majestic places like Tagaytay, Batangas or Subic/Bataan beaches, etc.

Sometimes it is good that our countrymen leave to work in other country. That way, they will either appreciate our country or hate it. We only know and appreciate what we have when we lose it. Luckily, most of the people I talked to who either worked or lived abroad for a long time see the beauty in our country. Do you realize when you are still in the Philippines, you crave for imported chocolates and imported brands and things that are not readily available here but could be found in another country. But when you go to that country where all your cravings back in the Philippines are easily reachable, you tend to long for bagoong, saluyot, choc-nut, pastillas, kornik, tinapa, itlog na maalat, daing ... LOL.
