We bathe our twice a year with water. The other times we use waterless shampoo. You don't want to strip his coat of the oils that he needs. It really depends on the breed of dog and what type of coat they have. We have 2 sibes and that is all that is necessary. We also use those cloths they are damp and just use them in between water baths. They get rid of doggy smells and they also clean them.

I bath my huskies one or two times a year if they let me. At least the female is not so bad and let me bath her. But the male start running around my deck trying to jump and escape of that terrible situation, looks like I am killing him, he doesn't like the bath at all! I keep my dogs in the back yard so I tried to keep them clean but sometimes is mission impossible. At least I get a good idea here, I will try the waterless shampoo and the damp cloths. Thanks.

My husband bath our dog once a week. This silly dog likes to pee n when he has done his business, he will step onto his own pee, so his hind paws always stink. Sometimes we will wash his feet sometimes we just leave it to him to lick it clean *YUCKS*

yes we bath ours, probably only about once every 2 months, but she's inside a lot. now once the weather gets nicer and we get our yard fenced, she'll be outside tearing around with us alot so we'll probably have to bath her more often.

Oh I know. I couldn't wait to move back to the US and get a house with a yard. The dogs will get exercise and it's so much easier to bath them outside rather than in the tub.

I've got greyhounds now and this breed doesn't get a "doggy" smell, plus they don't like water, so they get bathed only twice a year. However, none of my other dogs ever got bathed more than every 6 weeks because over-bathing a dog is terribly drying to their skin and coat. Dogs who are bathed frequently, even more than others, need vegetable oil on their food daily (from 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon depending on size of dog) or better yet, a salmon oil capsule daily to help their skin and coat stay in good condition.

Yes, I do. I do it usually twice or three times a month. :) My dogs always get dirty in the garden. X_x
