When my boyfriend and I broke up after four years together =, I suddenly found myself plunged headfirst into a world which I'd long forgotten. Singlehood. In one fell swoop, I'd gone from being part of a stable couple to facing an unknown future - alone. Are you HAPPY to be single?

You must brace up yourself. 4 years is a long time and by now you must have chosen a new friend if you could not make it up with your x. being alone may help sometimes but only to those who like being alone. Your happiness improves by sharing and loving. So go ahead and make new friends. LOL

I know i get really lonely when being alone and sometimes it is really hard to make new friends and to meet someone who is genuinely interested to make friends with you.
