I've been the hugest EC fan since the early 90's, and I was always so depressed that they never seemed to tour Canada, so when they broke up a few years ago I figured that was it.. no more Everclear, no more Art.
When they released 'Welcome to the Drama Club' I was a little less than impressed, because without Craig and Greg the sounds really different, but out of this something good happened!
They're touring small clubs (including in Canada) to get their fan base back up, and I just discovered their playing at a bar near my place in Edmonton on May 9th!
I'm buying my ticket tonight!

If you have a MySpace account, make sure that you add Everclear to your friend list. I just got am email from Art about him doing a very small FREE gig at a college today - free and open to the public. I wouldn't have known anything about it if I hadn't been on that list :]

*LOL* I am on MySpace and they are on my friend's list, but I check MySpace so infrequently.. I should go look into it and see if there's a way to get tickets cheaper or free for this show.
God I wish I still I had 'ins' at that bar! I'd be able to get in for free hours before everyone else, and then I could talk to him one on one like I've been dying to do for all these years.

I'm listening to "So Much For the Afterglow" by Everclear right now! Great CD and great band!
