Raito or L?

which of this two you like best? Raito a.k.a. KIRA or the famous detective L.
waaaaaa ill definitely go for L. hes so cool and though kinda weird^.^ next to L is Raito for me. And then Near the successor of L.

i think the name is Lighto (Light) not Raito. remember when Misa first saw Yagami Light and she's a bit confused when she read his name? she read it as tsuki(moon) because Light's name in kanji has almost the same kanji as moon. lol.
but anyway i like Light because he reminds me of Lelouch in Code Geas( is that how you spell it???)lol. i like the character, its what the perceive his world to be. he's killing off people and somehow it shades light upon his reasoning or maybe thats how i viewed it. hehehehe

in the manga, I read Raito if I am not mistaken. But The R is prononced as an L in japanese I think...

it is indeed said "Raito" in manga, so happen that in japanese R is sometimes pronounce as "L" and when you look in japanese alphabet there is no "L" but instead the "RA" sometimes was pronouced "LA"

That is correct.
There are a few occasions where the L is more forced (Like "L"s name ironically, also Lum from Urusei Yatsura)

Huh I thought Light or Raito would have been more popular. I was completely rooting for Light the whole time. I mean, hes just so ingenious plotting everything and it almost worked if not for his father not writing Mellos name :(

i like L more than Raito..hes kinda weird but cool..Raito is also good but i dont like his way of fighting..i know its on the story but i dont like killing innocents for own sake..Deathnote is very cool anime, i like the story so much..its makes think..hehehe

I was actually more of a Near fan (especially since he suspected Light MUCH faster than L did, and he kept on it).
L is still a favorite of mine though. Multiple identities, possibly more powerful/influential than Batman(heh!), overall intriguing character.

L all the way :D the way he holds his cup of tea, spoon , or food is amusing lol. He's fun to look at while Raito is to much evil and plain serious :/ Way to go L !!!! :D
