It's a shame when lawmakers get busted not obeying the laws they make or enforce. I like John Corzine for what I know about him and I hope he truly recovers totally but he has paid for that mistake severely and will be paying for a while. In this case it was an action that he took full responsibility for personally but what about the people who elected to have him in office? The people who support and depend upon his judgement in my eyes it wasn't just him in the passenger seat that day but all his constituents and family and friends. When will we realize that we don't belong to ourselves but to those that love and care and depend upon us? Do you know of any lawmakers that were exposed breaking a law of any kind? If so who and how and what were the repercussions?

I would point to a former Virginia congresswoman. Ayear or 2 ago, she was stoppped by capitol police entering the building. She refused to go through the metal detector things escalated. She wound up smashing one of the cops upside the head with her cell phone. No charges were ever filed against her. Now if this had been you or me, we would hve been thrown to the ground, cuffed and hauled off to jail. We then would have been charged with asaulting a law officer, a serious offense in any state.

I totally agree one thousand percent. I wonder when the world is going to realize that if we don't hold these people accountable as leaders they will continue to get away with things like that. In Mr. Corzines' case I believe God was merciful and has a special interest in him but I bet you he will be belted in from now on.
