Do you have a blog? Would you like to see your blog displayed on myLot? If your answer is yes, this is the information you need to get started! Submitting a blog to myLot for syndication is simple. The first step, once you are logged into your myLot account, is to find the main blogs page. You will find it by clicking on the tab at the top of the page called “blogs”. Once you are on the blogs homepage you will see the “add your blog” link on the left hand side of the page. Once you have clicked on the “add your blog” link, you will be taken to a page where you must enter specific information about your blog. You must enter the title of your blog, your feed URL, and your viewing URL. You also have the opportunity to upload a photo that you would like to display along side of your blog. The last step is to choose the “polling frequency”, this is the frequency you would like for us to visit your blog for updates. After you fill in the required data, you will be asked to claim your blog. The claiming process must be completed in order for myLot to verify that you are the actual owner of the blog you are submitting. We do not accept blogs that are not owned by the “blog author”. If your favorite blog is not showing up on myLot and you would like to see it displayed here, please contact the blogger and let them know about myLot blogs. myLot Blogs supports every type of RSS feed. RSS 2.0, RSS 0.91, RSS 1.0, RSS 0.9, XML, ATOM. Feedburner feeds are ATOM feeds and will also work. myLot doesn’t accept just any old blog, there are some guidelines for the types of blogs we want. Check out the blog submission guidelines, http://www.mylot.com/o/blogsubmissionguidelines.aspx, for an example of some of the guidelines the myLot editors use in their approval process. Once your blog has been claimed by you and approved by the myLot editors it will begin showing up on myLot. As an added incentive for having your blog published on myLot, myLot will provide bloggers a javascript feed to place on their site. The feed will show all users from myLot who have subscribed to your blog. The benefit of the javascript to you is that any of your readers that join myLot via your site will be credited to you as a referral and you will earn money based on their level of activity. It is a great way to promote both your blog and myLot. Don’t know what a blog is? Check out the blog FAQs, http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq18.aspx, to find out.

At this point I do not have a blog ... just don't have enough time on the computer to warrant it ... but if things change in the future sometime then this is good. I like the idea that this is an option and have seen a few things that people have put in .... and it seems it suits those who are into blogging. For me though .... at the present time .... it is a little technically advanced .... just learning that I can be on a site and actually get paid. Okay well maybe paid ... haven't yet reached the dizzy heights where I have made enough money to get paid but that day will come no doubt. So, for now although this is not a feature that I will be using .... thank you mylot for the option and making it available.

I think it's a good idea but I also think blogs are becoming a little too overrated.

I do not have a blog, so this one is not for me but I am a little bit concerned that myLot is taking all these steps but still cannot provide a spell check. I comsider that much more important in the whole scheme of things, and even those of us who have good literary skills can make typos when we are responding or starting a discussion. Perhaps if everyone was allowed to submit a blog it would be fine, but I note from some of the comments here that members cannot submit theirs unless it is at least 4 months old. That places them at a distinct disadvantage in comparison to other myLot members in my opinion. Others might feel differently of course, but what should be good for one should be good for another. Over the time I have been a member here, myLot has made a lot of changes and many of them have been for the good of the myLot community. I am talking about uploading pictures, not allowing new members cut and paste to the forum until they have a rating of 500, deleting all the cheat and scam posts, one liners and all of those things. Unfortunately, I do not see this latest move of theirs as being to the advantage of the forum, when some members are blatantly discriminated against.

hee.. there is a blog too in here? I don't really like to write in the blog. But sometimes when I'm soo emotional and can't use the phone in my house, I would run to blogs and write every anger or sadness or even anxiety that is there ^^; I would think about making a b log here. but... dunno, I already had other journals too :P
