How do you play the Sims...Do make the characters to represent people you really know or are they completely imaginary? Do you ever wish you could be one of your characters? I love the Sims so much. I just think it's a lot of fun. I will usually make up imaginary characters to play with. But I have made characters after people from my life. I think both ways are still really fun. =)

I love the Sims 2 and the expansion packs as well. It's almost like the Sims was created for females as a replacement for playing dolls. It is a little make believe but it's fun.

I was quite addicted to the Sims games back in the day. I enjoyed it for a while, but then it got so hard to keep the people happy and healthy! I think it was harder than maintaining a real life! I always had just me and a significant other, who at the time reperesented my boyfriend (now an ex). I gave up on last summer as I said it was too hard to make everyone happy.

I usually make the charcters to be myself or Jason or both. But there are times that I just do imaginary characters too. It really just depends on my mood when I start playing them again. Cause whenever I do start playing with them again after a stop of playing with them I have to start new people, I can't pick up the old ones.

Yeah it's hard to pick up the same family sometimes. I wish they did not age so quickly!! Would maybe make it easier because you'd have more time.

I do both. I have a sim me in most of my neighborhoods, and sometimes create people that I know. Most of my families are made up, though. It is fun to create a whole community of Sims whose stories are all interwoven! I also like to play the Townies. I have a whole neighborhood where I gave Goopy, Marissa, Ben Long, etc. each their own house and life.

Yeah I used to have a me and my boyfriend in every one. hehe It was fun til the grim reaper always came and took me away too soon.lol But it is cool to play with sims who have stories that are interwoven. I used to play with a few of the townies from time to time just because some of them have everything.lol Things I could never get my sims to afford. How were you able to give them their own hose and life? I'd love to do that with some of them!

Most of my sims are derived from real life people, but i usually don't put their names. I really love playing this, but I'm too much of a control freak allow my sims to do whatever they want!

That's cool too. I usually do put their names when I play. Yeah I cannot allow them to just go about and do whatever they want. I have to control mine as much as I can. Gets tricky sometimes when they have too many children. haha

I've often used imaginary characters. I don't want to put real life people in my sims, as it may confuse my world :). However currently I'm into creating characters based on TV show. For example I've created a whole family based on CBS's two and a half men. I think I did a fine job on creating a person that look similar to Charlie Sheen. Their characteristic is based on what the sitcom shows us. I know these characters are copyrighted :D :D, but it's fun anyway. I've seen sites where people have made stories based on the sims action. I guess it would be a neat idea to try to reenact one of the TV episodes of two and a half men using sims...

That's very interesting. I never thought to do something like that. It would be cool to reenact one of the episodes...but I imagine it would be pretty hard. Or maybe I just don't have that kind of patience. hehe

I do both. I have some smallville character. you know some of the main characters. Thats all in one town. Then in Strange town is my imaginary characters I make up. one of my charactors I made up is engaged to Nicolas Cage. I had to put that acter in their I love he's acting and hes cute. I am not sure who else I will put in my game but for now this is who I am working with. I try not to play very often. I am doing better. I played last night for 1 hour and I haven't played since yesterday a week.

Back when I played The Sims alot I would sometimes fashion them out of people I know. Like do a whole neighborhood of people I know. But mostly I liked to make someone up and just do different things each time until they had everything, then move on to the next one.

Yeah I sometimes like just making people up and letting them do different things and such. If I make them after someone I know and something weird happens, then I weirdly feel bad about it. haha Even though there is no reason to feel bad, but I do.
