Do you rinse off top of can before using???

Have you ever forgot to rinse before drinking your soda from a can,what's the first thought that went through your mind???

Yes I do for a simple reason; Once I went to my aunt and uncle's house, and my aunt had a story about how this person drank soda that had rat droppings on top, and it eventually killed him; I never forgot that lsesson and to this day, I wipe and wash the tops off my sodas and drinks.

I never rinse the top of my pop cans. Had never even crossed my mind. The first thought going through my head is man this is gonna taste so good. I'm not worried about where they have been i guess.
