street stones- a relaxing point for villagers !!!

First of all, you should know what is this street stones.You can see this street stones in village roads.From the main road it will be 3 to 4 miles to reach a village.There is no means of transport to go to the village.So people keeping heavy load on their heads or shoulders have to walk to their destination.In case if the load they carry is heavy they can't keep the load down.
The street stone will help them.Two stone polls at the height of 5 feet will be there.On it you will find a stone slab.so standing near the slab, people can put the load to the stone slab easily.They take rest a little and then again they proceed the journey easily taking the load on thier heads.

Nope, there is no such so called street stone in our locality. I agree to your point that it will help the people to rest the load but they can keep the load even on the ground. May be that it will be easy for them to life the load, if it is kept on top of the street stone. Good discussion :)
