They hear your voice. the content of what you say is not necessarily important. When parents speak in baby talk,it's something the baby will respond to and it will help him or her begin to develop language skills. So go ahead with the GOO-goo ,GA-ga.. folks ! It's good for the little kings or queens !

I know what you mean my 3 month old son loves it when you talk to him. He usually starts to babble back.
His favorite though is when his 14 month old sister talks to him. He seems to find this one of the most funny things. He will sit there and smile and babble right back to her.
