Who plays more...guys or girls?

I'm intrigued to know which gender plays wow more... males or females.
In our guild, which has around 90 active players, i think its probably a ration of around 2:1, but the majority of people on my friends lists are other girls.
i noticed that the majority of the women in my server *tend* to be the more mature players,although not always the case (there are PLENTY of guys i play with who are just as much fun and not 'noobish' in any way!)and are usually more likely to stay the duration rather than play for a few months and then leave again.
personally, i see the game as a great way to escape from real life, and also to keep in touch with other people. as a mother i dont get to go out in the evenings so WoW is a LOT of my social life these days (sad i know...!), and i seem to be in a guild where a lot of us are in a similar situation.

I know a lot of girls that play, a lot. I have noticed that about wow that the maturaty of players are higher than a lot of games ive played. I love the bonding that goes on in the game. I have a group of friends that used to play Ragnarok online and we actually got together in real life. Came from all over, even singapore. Then we move to Guild wars for awhile. and now we all play wow.

Well, I am a girl and play. There are more and more females that are playing WoW, but we are deffinatly out numbered by males.

well being of the female gender
I can tell you I play alot of video games
both online and on 360/ game cube for now
until I make room and get a wii
and the bf plays alot too
so I guess the genders are in a tie
my favs so far are most of the
pogo games and ultima until it
got cheese with the ninjas
in the renaissance time

Ofcourse guys play more computer games ! Girls are girls ... 1 from 100 players is a girl !

I've been gaming online with my husband for about 7 years now. I've met lots of females that play WoW on several different servers also. I still think that guys play more, especially more "hardcore", for now.... but SAHMs are slowly taking over lol!

I don't play WoW now but I have played. In my experience in playing mmorpg's I have been suprised by how many girls play. The game I play the most is Guild Wars (which I haven't had time to play in a while). The guild I am in has over 400 members in the alliance. There are actually quite a few girls in the alliance. Oh and I know what you mean about playing as an escape from real life. I'm also a mom and it's nice to play at night after I've put my daughter to bed. Since I don't get out much that is kind of like my night out lol. So you're not alone there.

Hmmm .. I think both girls and boys play the same ... But there is a difference . The boys play football games, shooters , and the girls something for them , something like SIMS or I don't know :-??
