Why Was Don Imus Fired?

There could be a whole list of reason but I am interested in knowing what you think. What do you beleive caused the final decision to fire him?

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!!! When sponsors started pulling out, they fired him instead of suspending him. But it will bite them in the butt because his ratings would have gone sky high. People who never listened to Imus would of tuned in to see what he was all about. I do not believe he should have been fired. He apologized sincerely, suspension should have been enough. But when money is involved....oh well.
