Stinking Rich or Just Plain Happy

I have to say that Ive never been rich but Im happy with my life in general. I know some well off people and they seem unhappy most of time and I think to myself why are they so miserable they dont have to worry about paying their bills. I believe that we can be rich in other ways. I also think that alot of us get so caught up with money and how much we are going to make that dont take time to smell the roses. So what Im asking if you had the chance to be stinking rich or just plain happy in life. Which would you pick?

Happiness comes from your mind, not your wallet. I know some rich people who are miserable and I know rich people who are happy. I myself am not rich but I am happy. I also feel that by keeping a positive mindset and always remaining thankful for the things that I do have, I will be able to be happy and rich at the same time. What does a man profit if he gains the entire world but loses his soul?

Good on you, I am also not rich, but I am quite happy at the moment, I will be satisfied if I can earn enough money to pay the bills and support myself.I am happy to who I am, as I get the love from my friends and family,I do not mind to be poor if I have these. I do not think one person will be happy if they are rich but they do not have love from their family and friends. I would prefer just plain happy.

Happiness doesn't come from how much money you have in your wallet. It come from the attitude that you have about yourself and the world around you. You could be the richest person in the world and still be very unhappy. On the other hand you can be the poorest person and be so happy to be alive and be happy that you have friends and family and a beautiful sky and trees and a place to keep you dry when it rains. Happiness comes from within, not from the outside. Money is a wonderful thing to have but it won't change whether you feel happy or sad about life as you live it. I think I would rather be happy, than rich.

I always prefer a simple, peaceful and happylife. Stinking rich is not what I want in my life, but I wish that we should have enough money for our simple and happy life, so that I would not worry for things. How much money we have it does not matter if you don't have the time to spend for your family and friend. Because of your busy schedule for making money, if you can't enjoy small things in life, money can't buy those happiness.

I would go with being just plain happy too:) I do think that would involve being financialy stable/comfortable to me though. I'm not sure if I could be happy if I had to worry about every day bills, know what I mean? I don't think I would like being filthy rich, I'm pretty sure everyone would crawl out of the woodwork and be wanting a part of it.

I would choose to be happy, without a single doubt. Happiness has always meant far more to me than money. I don't believe that there is a single thing that I could buy with money that would make me as happy as a good relationship with another human being, and you just can't buy that no matter how much you might have to spend.

Honestly, if I had a chance I would choose to be rich. because I believe that I would not be one of those unhappy rich people. I would still have the same friends, do the same things, and have good smart fun. I think some rich people are unhappy because they have no TRUE friends, but sometimes they dont have friends because they feel above everyone. that would not be me at all. Plus if I was filthy rich I could donate money and other stuff to charities and shelters, which would make me even more happy.

I would rather pick to be just plain happy. It;s true what they say that money can help maintain happiness in the family but it's not the only thing. Love can also maintain happiness as well as understanding. So I think it's better to have a simple life filled with happiness than having all the things you want but not happy.

Both are hard choice -lol- Maybe I prefer just plain happy, it's more real with my own life right now. I don't know if I can become stinking, because I'm not money keeper type.

I would love to be a rich person one day. Money can buy a lot of things for me and can make me happy with what it can do. I don't think that I'm really happy with my life right now, because I can't afford the nice things in life and because I know that life is about working hard to pay off your bills and working to survive. I want to have a different outlook in life and I want to achieve something far greater than normal. We all have this dream and everyone has the ability to reach it. Money can buy me the things that will make me happy in life, but money itself is worthless.

happiness is not about money and on my travels especially in the philippines i've seen plenty of people with nothing but who have something in life to celebrate. I would pick being happy every time - it's the consumer world we live in that makes us think we need money to make us happy - its a reason to keep on buying to keep up with the jones' but somehow most people spend their life trying and never get there - they'll be taxed for trying anyway - happiness wins hands down!

well stinking rich then i'll make myself happy. a lot of people say money doesn't buy happiness, well it doesn't buy it, but it will def. make me happy. Thats my biggest stress in life is not having a lot of money. our financial problems cause me to have so much stress in life that i don't know wut to do at times.

i prefer to be happy and contented than stinking rich with no contentment. i think if someone is very rich and doesn't have contentment, he will never be happy in his life. so i'd just be happy and enjoy my life.

I would rather be plain happy but I don't want to suffer from financial problems. If I would be rich, I'll strive to be happy also. Still, money can't buy all happiness.

Though the general feeling is that riches and happiness do not go hand in hand,I think that is not correct. For,a person monetarily rich can well be mentally happy too when he/she does not truly concentrate attention only on becoming richer but seriously and sincerely efforts to see smiles on every other individual's face.It is also not correct that all those who are not rich are happy. In fact riches and happiness are in no way related to each other....

I'm fond of the saying "I would rather be rich and unhappy then poor and miserable" :D
