RAOK - Just say Thanks

I make it a point to RAOK's any time I can. I've been the recipient of quite a few, from people buying me food when I was kid and didn't have anything to eat, to a guy who was behind me in line at a utility office paying a bill for me after I asked the person there for an extension. So I try to do the same for others, whether it's in the form of money, gift cards, buying a meal, or once even just helping a girl get to a shelter where she could get help, the same shelter I had once stayed at, and that she now runs. =)

I love RAOKs. Several years ago when my husband's job was taken away due to budget cuts, we were sweating meeting our bills. One day our doorbell rang and a place called 'Heavenly Ham' delivered a huge spiral cut ham. When I told the delivery person that we had not ordered a ham he said that he was certain of the address. I called the office and they said that a ham was ordered to be delivered to that address and that the person ordering and paying wished to remain annonomous. It really was a blessing at the time. As for RAOKs that I do, I am forever cutting coupons (high value) and placing them on or near products at the grocery. I have also paid for someone's meal behind me in the drive through at a fastfood. I love doing RAOKs. It makes me feel so good inside!

I am sorry but I do not know what a roak is I have never heard of it. Is it a good deed?

A few years ago right before Christmas I got a gift card for $150 to Walmart in the mail. It didn't say who it was from but I'm pretty sure I know who it was because I had just talked to a lady at work about how things were tight and then a few days later, that came in the mail. It was one of the nicest things that's ever been done for me.
