OK I have finally decided that its time to start taking care of myself. I have been watching how much I eat the time of day and making sure that i don't eat the wrong foods. Now my problem is I as sooooooooo craving snacks, I have tried eating veggies or fruit and still the cravings are there. I do not want to eat chips or any type of bad snack food. What i need is healthy snack food that will taste as good or nearly as good as the chips and stuff. Anyone got any good ideas for me?

Here are a few of the snacks I enjoy. I try to eat low fat as much as possible. There are times that we all slip a little but you just have to get right back up and start again.
Popcorn Trail Mix
8 ounces raisins
6 ounces diced, dried fruit (apricots, apples, etc.)
1 quart popped popcorn (air popped)
Set freshly popped popcorn in large bowl. Add diced fruit and raisins.
Toss popcorn and fruit until combined thoroughly.
Trail Ride Snack Mix
2 cups beef jerky pieces
2 cups pretzels
1/2 cup peanuts
1/2 cup almonds
1/2 cup raisins
Cut beef jerky into bite-size pieces with kitchen scissors.
Combine all ingredients in large sealable plastic bag.
Lower-Fat Zesty Garlic Crunch Snack Mix
1 (16-ounce) box Quaker® Toasted Oatmeal Squares Cereal (about 8 cups)
2 cups fat-free mini pretzel twists
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons margarine OR butter
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
Heat oven to 250°F. Spray 13 x 9-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
Combine cereal, pretzels and cheese in pan; mix well.
Place margarine in 2-cup microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 45 seconds or until melted. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt and onion salt; mix well.
Pour over cereal mixture; stir to coat evenly.
Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Transfer to baking sheet, spreading mixture in even layer.
Cool completely. Store tightly covered at room temperature up to 5 days.
