How do you promote videos from metacafe and revver?

I started creating a few videos for metacafe about a week ago, but traffic has been a little slow moving. Following the advice from the article "8 killer ways to promote your youtube, metacafe video" (google for it), traffic has been picking up but no where near the 20,000 views I need.
And tips and tricks to share? Anyone?
