Now a days all of us are seeing an increrase in the number of email scams. These emails scams ask for information, like a persons credit card number, bank accounts or social security number. Here are some donts for you to follow:- 1. Never write in an email your passwords, credit card numbers, any secret word or number-like a bank PIN-as Internet email is not secure. 2. Never click on a link in an e-mail that requests personal information, because criminals can redirect a link to an adress other than the one shown. 3. Do Not provide personal information in a webside unless you are 100% positive its legitimately managed by the company with which you are interacting. Mind you some phoney sites that try and get you to reveal personal information look very real.

I wrote a review on a similar topic at CNET just the other day. The article of discussion has to do with the Storm worm, but the underlying issue is unsolicited e-mail. You can read my review here: http://reviews.cnet.com/5420-3513_7-0.html?forumID=104&messageID=2409256&threadID=222541 Hope this helps!

I get lots of these every day from people who claim to be PayPal and eBay. I always forward them to spoof@paypal or spoof@ebay. I also get them from so called banks and even from sites claiming to be banks in other contries where I couldn't possibly have any bank accounts. It is dreadful to think that some people who are not aware of these scams could be taken in my them and maybe lose a quite lot of money.

Yep, that is all you can do to be safe from those scammers. Just watch your back and keep your information to yourself about your e-mail.

Oh yes there are a lot of these emails floating around we have been told by our radio announcer to delete them as we gets tips over the radio, and it is dreadful the amount of these emails, yes some sites do look really valid and even emails but I never respond to them but when it is our bank I will send an email to my bank and let them know what is going on so they can alarm others.
