Star and myLot reputation number

Over the last month my star has changed from red(9) to blue(10) and then back to red again.This morning I've noticed it's back to blue again.The strange thing is.....my reputation number has never changed.It has been at 95/100 for some time now.Have you ever noticed your star changing without your reputation number changing.....or do you even pay attention to that at all.It just seems odd to me.....either 95 is red or blue....but not both.
I don't think I will ever completely understand how the star system really works.How about you....do you know how it works....or are you left wondering sometimes on how exactly they configure the whole thing.
It really shouldn't bother me that much....but I just hate not being able to understand something....don't you?

I see today you have a little blue star. Mine goes back and forth also and I still stay at 95/100. I think that is the point you drift between a 9 and a 10. I believe that even though you had a 95 both times shows that the rating looks at more than just that 95 value.
I notice that if I don't keep up with posting and responding daily I go from a 10 back to a 9. If I post a few good posts and maybe pop up a discussion I will move back to a 10.
It bothered me at first but I don't think my mylot friends think any less of me when I am only showing a 9/10 :)

It really doesn't bother me so much that it changes and I know my friends don't think any less of me....but a better understanding of the whole sytem would be nice.I guess I'm just one of those people that has to know how everything works....or otherwise I'm not satisfied...lol.

my star states that it is 95/100 but still a red one which is number 9. maybe mylot has some percentage in star. for example i have a 9star but 95/100. that 95 have some point something and haven't really gotten the bracket of the 10star. Maybe that's why your star is changing. you answer good and someone rated you negatively, it affects in your star rating and then somebody or many people rated you again with a + and then back to 10star again. we don't know why this things happen. Only the mysterious mylot knows about it. I haven't experienced that. Yes I understand your bothered feeling and me also I will feel the same way, its just that mylot is not a specific type of star rating giver he he! :)

Actually, no - I have never seen that happen. Whenever my Star has gone up or down, the number has changed too. That is very strange, and I'm sorry I can't shed any light on your dilemma, but I am as baffled by it as you are!

For me i'm not too good in this area, my rating star for the first time i got it is only 3 that ok, the next day my rating jump to 5, wow that is good to me, so i work to get next level, and i have 6 at the next day. After that my star rating just don't want to go up, it just stay at 6. I'm just keep on as usual, response on the discussion, after the next day my star rating is drop to 5. Very sad, i don't know how to increase my star rating. Maybe tomorrow it's will decrease.. So lastly i don't want to take care anymore about my rating, the important is i will just keep on goin with myLot to get my $10.

What it the star with numbers means? In what basis it is showing to the members? How can I get the star identification attached to my id? what is the number in bracket means? if it is the no. of posts, then why it is changing daily (sometimes it increases and sometimes decreases)?
