Best faction and rune in the game?

I think the Forglar Swamp faction is the strongest, because things like the champions' mobility, nora acquiring and ranged attackers make them one of, if not the best faction.
One rune I think it's really strong is the Ravager. It's leap range should get nerfed to rank 2 at least, since it's too mobile and strong to actually exist.

Probably tied with the Deep Miner. God, those are a pain to level as well.

I disagree because some of the best spells come from other factions in my opinion. Weaken takes off 10 damage on an opponent which pretty much leaves you not having to worry about it for three turns. Hammer strike does great direct damage and leaves the unit stunned (two = good exotic killer), and polymorph is always fun to use to turn a ravager into a Bile Zombie or a Lich King into a deep miner. (evil laugh)

My funniest moment was when I poly-ed an enemy Lich King who was zapping my Boghopper Shaman into his target. The shaman had like 7 HP left, while the Lich King was at full HP. Needless to say my opponent left the game after I proceeded to kill it =P

"Best" is a tricky subject. If by "best" you mean most competitive, than I would have to agree that FS is, because they have no nora problems with their faction bonus.
I agree, Ravager is a fantastic rune, as well. But all it really takes to deal with it is a some concentrated fire. But polymorph doesn't get the nickname "swiss army knife" for nothing.

Poly's getting nerfed this update to be traded for a LE. Although I believe the LE isn't gonna be very useful, yes, Polymorph is one heck of a swiss army knife rune. But still, the cooldown is not the best. So it can only save you twice.
